THE LAST IMAGE

cinematic rehearsals on the virtual topos

The experimental film The Last Image addresses a performative potential of contemporary image-circulation with the help of the tools of Virtual Production. Physical and virtual cameras, trackers and chromakey, projections and real-time compositing are the driving elements of the piece. The usual applications of VR are overtaken and expanded by linking a physical stage with digital scenographies via gaming and streaming infrastructures. In doing so the project rewrites a story of a character who, in her role as a private detective, chases the personified idea of an ominous capitalist in an utopian future world.
